Our Background
Paza is a Swahili term that conveys the essence of its mission: to amplify technological accessibility in the African continent. This mission was galvanized by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Nicole's niece Abigail, who lost a year of education due to the lack of infrastructure. Witnessing this, Nicole assembled a team to combat computer literacy gaps in Kenya, leading to the establishment of PazaTech.
Therefore in 2021, PazaTech emerged to confront the infrastructure gap in underprivileged schools, elevate learning outcomes, and holistically address EdTech interventions tailored for schools in emerging economies.
Meet the Founder of PazaTech and Visionary Lead
Nicole Muthoni, also known affectionately as Julie, is the driving force behind PazaTech. Fueled by an unwavering commitment to children's education and a relentless pursuit of equality, she embarked on a transformative mission to reshape learning and amplify children's potential.
Her understanding of educational disparities, shaped by personal experiences and University of Connecticut studies, underpins PazaTech. During her university years, Nicole's belief in technology's potential blossomed through Innovation Quest, reflecting her Nairobi upbringing's commitment to positive change. Her high school initiative, Oak of Splendor, brought mentorship and joy to underprivileged children.
At the core of Nicole's efforts is a deep love for children and an unwavering dedication to achieving educational equity. As the founder, she inspires her team to challenge norms and strive for excellence. Their collective mission revolves around creating a brighter, more equitable future, impacting children's lives globally through the transformative power of education.

Introducing Faith Kyalo, a passionate education and tech advocate. With a communications background and keen insight into Kenyan student challenges, she co-founded PazaTech to provide accessible, quality education. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Faith spearheaded innovative digital tools for diverse learning needs, driven by her dedication to bridging the digital divide. She envisions technology's potential to democratize education and uplift learners of all backgrounds.
